St. Therese - Carmelite Chapel-in-the-Mall was perhaps the first Catholic Chapel ever to be opened in a Mall. It's purpose is to be an oasis of prayer in the marketplace. The Sacrifice of the Mass is offered three times daily, 8:30 A.M., 12:00 noon and 3:00 P.M. with a half hours of Confessions before each Mass. The Saturday Vigil Masses for Sunday are also offered every Saturday at 4:00 and 5:30 P.M. Private consultation and confession are available by appointment.
Hi Fr. Herb,
ReplyDeleteArleen Bradley here, I am now following your blog. Boy are you up-to-date on technology. Your thoughts on the daily readings would be a good idea, comments on what is going on in the church worldwide, the pope's words & travels, about the saint of the day, background of holy days, issues facing catholics today, on this day in church history, info on the Carmelite's and their work, founder, saints. Just a few suggestions for you. I look forward to this blog.
Thanks
Arleen
Today is the feast of the Assumption of Our Blessed Mother into heaven. (Here in the US by decision of the Conference of US Bishops, when a Holy Day falls on a Saturday or Monday, there is no obligation to attend Mass) However, it is a great privilege to do so
